Prerna Design Centre – Threads of Independence
The Stitching Centre at Prerna is a living expression of empowerment through skill. Here, women are trained in tailoring, embroidery, and garment design, gaining both professional competence and self-confidence.
Each course concludes with certification, and the most accomplished trainee receives a sewing machine — a practical tool that also serves as a symbol of independence and dignity.
Within these walls, fabric is not the only thing being transformed. Every stitch tells a story of resilience, every thread carries the pride of self-reliance. The centre continues to enable women to earn a livelihood and reclaim their sense of purpose.
